Thrillride Media Releases New Thriller

Alan J. Field, Author of The Chemist, is helping victims of the Syrian tragedy. 20% of the 2016-17 profits from his book will be donated to the international humanitarian efforts to save innocent lives in that region. His new spy thriller is a tale of intrigue, betrayal and murder on Fifth Avenue, where Delta Force veteran Daniel Strong is called upon to prevent the sale of the most virulent chemical weapon the world has ever known.

Field says, "The crisis [in Syria] is dire. I sincerely hope the book, that focuses on the creation of these terrible weapons, will raise relevant moral discussions about their existence and the role the scientific community has in creating them."

"[Field] has a natural gift for crafting a well-thought-out story and developing complex, memorable, if not disturbing characters who take you on a dark and wild ride that will totally engulf you." - Laura Clarke, Goodreads.com

Having practiced as a lawyer in New York for more than 20 years in the entertainment and high technology space, Alan wanted to step back and write gripping international thrillers that raise relevant geopolitical issues of the day. To read more about Alan, visit www.alanjfieldbooks.com.

'Wild Faith' is a Unique 1870s Era Family Friendly Film

During it's TV run from 1974-83, the hugely popular 'Little House On the Prairie' saw many quirky, eccentric, rough and gruff, yet memorable characters come through the little midWestern prairie town of Walnut Grove. But the heart of the story in every episode of life in the late 1800s was the Ingalls family – Charles, Caroline and their children Mary, Carrie and, of course, "Half-Pint" (Laura), played by now Michigan resident Melissa Gilbert. Collective Development Inc.'s family-friendly, faith-based 'mid-Western,' filming now entirely in Michigan, takes its cue loosely from the enduring books by Laura Ingalls Wilder. And family is first and foremost at the center of the story.

That is why CDI producers and director Jesse Low auditioned dozens of actors/actresses from across the country to bring on board just the right chemistry to bring this story to life.

Leading the Murphy family as 'Emmett' is veteran stage and film performer Shane Hagadorn of Lansing, Mich. Also a producer on the project, Shane is the writer-director of 'Ashes of Eden' and has given memorable performances in the first installment of CDI's faith-based 'Quest Trilogy,' '40 Nights' (Lightworx Entertainment release) and soon to be released, 'Chasing the Star.'  Shane's unmistakeable, unflinching presence as Arch Angel Gabriel in both films, will seamlessly transition into the role of Emmett, a 'gentle-giant' of sorts, who tries to keep the 'mixed family' together while fighting his own demons from his Civil War service to the death of his wife.

Detroit, Mich.-based actress, singer and author Lisa Lauren Smith earned the starring role of 'Haddie,' the widowed mother of a young daughter, who tries to rear her child amidst the elemental and social/racial issues and hardships that endure today. Lisa grew up and watched her mother, a retired school teacher and actress, tour and perform with theater companies and the Michigan Opera Theater. A graduate of the Detroit High School for the Fine and Performing Arts, as well as Wayne State University on a Presidential Scholarship, Lisa plays piano, French horn and violin. On stage she has portrayed legendary blues singer Billie Holiday with an Off-Broadway touring company, and another legend, jazz singer Ella Fitzgerald. Some of Lisa's TV credits include recurring roles on ABC's 'Detroit 187' and BET's 'Let's Stay Together.'  Her film resume includes such work as 'Redeemer,' 'The Citizen' and 'Sparrow.'

Portraying the children of Emmett and Haddie are Xylia Jenkins (born in Flint, Mich.) and Detroiter Joe Cipriano.

As 'Grace,' Xylia brings to the screen a new meaning of 'the innocence of youth' in the harshness of 1870s Michigan. Xylia wanted to be an actress since age eight and has worked at the craft by taking acting classes with several prestigious actors/directors and has worked her way up the ranks by performing as a background player. She's earned speaking roles in feature films, shorts, voice over and commercials.

Joe is no stranger to CDI audiences, having portrayed Young Jesus in the highly acclaimed  '40 Nights.' Playing Emmett's son, Henry, Joe, too, caught the 'acting bug' at the tender age of eight. Joe's career has thus far included roles in features ('Sand Castles,' 'The Midnight Hour,' 'Dead Quiet'), shorts, television, commercials and music videos.

Bringing comic relief, yet the knack for disarming tense and/or oftentimes dangerous situations (created by man or beast) with his worldly charm and backwoods know-how is 'Uncle McKinney,' who lives with Emmett and Henry in their cabin nestled in the woods. Veteran character actor Greg Mason out of West Virginia was the solid choice to bring Uncle McKinney and his nuances to life on screen. An actor with 70 films to his credit, Mason is no stranger to audiences. 'Wild Faith' is his forth feature film with CDI. His turns in 'An Ordinary Killer' and 'Dean Teaster's Ghost Town' were memorable. Highlighted by his unique ability to break down and cry on cue.

Audiences are in for a special treat with 'Wild Faith,' whose producers are also in talks with TV networks about an on-going series. 'Wild Faith' will bring back echoes of 'Little House On the Prairie,' yet this vehicle, which appeals to a broad demographic, will immerse audiences in a world of its own. Complete with drama, adventure, action, sweetness and levity. And it all starts with casting!

Family Deception - A young Women's test of loyalty

The story of Family Deception follows an 18-year-old girl being tested by her family to prove her commitment to the family crime business and if she's worthy of taking over for her father who died. Can she prove her loyalty to the family on all levels, even putting her relationship to the test?

Zane Morrow is a film director/producer currently residing in Los Angeles after growing up in Portland, Oregon. He wishes to continue telling stories in both an artistic way and to inspire others. He has created a Indiegogo campaign to make a film with budget $2,600 for the Location & the Permits, Production Design, Art Department, Special Effects, Stunts, Catering to feed the cast and crew, the costs in Post-Production, and Marketing & Distribution (Film Festivals).

Main budget is focusing on getting the locations we need and dressing them up to add an artistic quality to the film in order for our audiences to feel like they are there in the moment. Equipment is already provided by Relativity School so it's not a huge matter to focus on within our budget. Part of the budget will go towards getting the right amount of resources to make this short feel as real as possible. Investing will also help us to spread Family Deception nationwide and internationally at film festivals, alike. You will be just as big of a part in the making of this film as our cast and crew, and we will make sure you feel included.

On the big screen, Torres is known for roles in "The Matrix Reloaded," "The Matrix Revolutions," "Jam," and "South of Pico". Gina is also a trained singer who appeared on Broadway as Deena Jones in Dreamgirls, which marked her first professional appearance and launched her into the spotlight.

Malick serves on the Board of Directors for The Environmental Media Association and The Creative Coalition, the Board of Advocates for Planned Parenthood, and the Advisory Board of The Humane Society. Wendie and her husband, Richard Erickson, additionally support a medical center in the Congo providing urgent medical services to the indigenous people.

Her role in Just Shoot Me won her an Emmy and two Golden Globe nominations that added to her noteworthy appearances, including her role as a five-time divorced former soap opera star in TV Land's hit sitcom, Hot in Cleveland, and her current role as the wealthy owner of a baseball team in Pitch. Warner Bros. launched her into stardom by signing her on for their hot detective series, "Hawaiian Eye". She also starred opposite George Burns in the sitcom "Wendy and Me". Stevens platformed her stage entertaining to headline in Las Vegas and endeared herself to the American public; but it was her role on Broadway with Neil Simon's "The Star-Spangled Girl" that won a Theatre World Award for her performance.

She continues to appear in TV shows, movies, and movies of the week. Some of Connie's credits are: "Grease 2," "Back to the Beach," "Murder, She Wrote," "The Love Boat," and "Baywatch". The Magic Snowman Redux *IF YOU BELIEVE!*

"If you believe, you can hear him speak."

This is about the children's film "The Magic Snowman on Indiegogo". The original film was made in 1989 and distributed by Miramax Films & Buena Vista International.  Seen by twenty million children in the US alone the film was a holiday staple, a perennial story that remains as relevant and appealing for children today as it was twenty years ago.

The lasting power of the magic snowman is demonstrated through the continuous positive comments people have left on our Youtube, seen here: https://youtu.be/AQD58FH9Eew

Made from real snow, Lumi Ukko, the magic snowman was a product of the imagination of children-actors, and the crew making the film and lived in the imagination of the children watching the film.  However, with new filmmaking techniques Lumi Ukko can come even more alive, warmer, friendlier, and ultimately, more engaging in passing on his message to children that magic makes everything possible

In the REDUX version of the film, visual effects will be added to make him smile, wink, frown, laugh, cry, and have a myriad of other emotions to entertain and engage his young viewers. A new music score and a fresh re-edit will make the film more palatable for today's young audiences.

The original film was distributed only on VHS; this updated version will be available on Blu-Ray/DVD allowing for an unprecedented reach that will make the film available worldwide.

How You Can Help!

The goal of this campaign is to raise the necessary $50,000 to score, animate, and re-edit the film. Helping us make the film will help children across the globe.

The original Magic Snowman was endorsed by UNICEF and 3% of the proceeds were donated to the organization to help children worldwide and the commitment to UNICEF will apply to the Redux.  Your contribution to this campaign will make also make you virtual ambassadors for UNICEF and the organization's causes.

The Magic Snowman would be a wonderful Christmas gift. Let's make it happen!

We need your help: If you can't afford to donate, don't worry – there are plenty of other ways you can help. Please take some time to share our campaign across your social networks and encourage your friends and family to support. For more information, contact Pavlina Proevska on the below link,

Blanche Baker is More than a “Sixteen Candles” Quote

Anyone who grew up in the 1980s – and many of us who didn’t - can recite Blanche Baker’s lines as Ginny in “Sixteen Candles” by heart.
“I really love Rudy. He is totally enamored of me. I mean, I've had men who've loved me before, but not for six months in a row.”
With lines like that, the John Hughes film is a cultural touchstone and Emmy-winner Baker will host a screening at 9 p.m. Oct. 15 in Dante Hall Theater as part of the 9th Atlantic City Cinefest. Baker will also be honored with a Lifesaver Award at the festival and participate in the panel discussion Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. in Dante Hall.
“Looking back, I realize what we were doing in `Sixteen Candles’ was identifying issues that are common to almost everyone at some point in their lives: feeling unappreciated, misunderstood, awkward, lonely and unable to fit in,” Baker said.
Hughes encouraged improvisation, she said. “At the time I made `Sixteen Candles,’ I was studying with Uta Hagen and Lee Strasberg, who both based their teachings on Stanislavsky. When you are acting, experience and technique give you the confidence to let go and be creative.”
Baker considers working with Andrzej Wajda at the Yale Repertory Theatre as a pivotal moment in her career. “Working with Meryl Streep in `The Seduction of Joe Tynan’ and `Holocaust’ is another highlight. She’s a master artist with so many layers to her work.”
The actress is currently writing and directing a short movie musical called “Streetwrite” about freedom of speech.  Her resume also includes “The Handmaid’s Tale” with Robert Duvall, “Raw Deal” with Arnold Schwarzenegger and the Kevin Bacon HBO film “Taking Chance.”  Baker is on the faculty at the New York Film Academy.
