Co-starring alongside Perry include Hollywood veteran Rance Howard who plays the Devil as an Old Man; negotiating and tempting Jesus in the wilderness.
In 2013, Howard played Woody Grant's brother in Nebraska, often taking parts as a priest, minister, county sheriff, or western marshal and has made numerous appearances in films by Joe Dante.
He is the father of Hollywood director icon, Ron Howard and has acted in most of his son’s films including; Splash, Cocoon, Apollo 13, A Beautiful Mind, Cinderella Man and Frost/Nixon.
’40 Nights’ story offers the devil making several attempts to succeed as he arrives to Jesus in various forms. He appears as a tireless, teasing child, (Drew Wise), as an aggressor in the form of a man, (Taymour Ghazi) and as a beautiful temptress (Rebecca Lawlor).
The film’s cinematography has been placed in the talented hands of Los Angeles based Jesse Aragon, who brings a unique style to his films and is being directed by Jesse Low. Low, who is the son of missionaries, felt an immediate connection with the script. “I’m excited to be a part of a story that says something truly original about the most important character in human history” Jesse Lowe.
