BESTSELLER Movie Creeps Closer to Completion
Those frightening words uttered are from Michigan author Christopher Knight’s tale of literary terror “Bestseller”. The soon-to-be-released motion picture was shot entirely in Michigan supervised by Collective Development Inc. for Christopher Knight’s Misery Bay Films. Lake Street Media provided key players in Scott Castelein, serving as the Director of Photography and Christina Rohn, as the director. The film was shot in and around Petoskey, Michigan. The film stars Melissa Anschutz (Ashes of Eden), DJ Perry (An Ordinary Killer), Terence Knox (Deadly Renovations), Lana Wood (The Searchers), Ralph Lister (Set Up) and Taylor Nichols (Boiler Room).Author Christopher Knight is no stranger to spooky stories. Children know him worldwide as Jonathan Rand, author of “American Chiller” and “Michigan Chiller” series. His books have sold over five million worldwide. Many children credit Jonathan Rand with inflicting them with their love of reading. As these children continue to grow into adults many can now enjoy the transition to the adult-targeted books and movies. Collective Development Inc. has an on-going deal with Misery Bay Films to develop these properties into feature films/and or TV series.“Bestseller” recently locked picture meaning the visual cut of the film is done. Now the film will undergo graphic work, color correction, sound design and music. The music and sound design is being done by longtime Collective Development Inc. collaborator Dennis Therrian, who most recently did the same post work on “Ashes of Eden,” a crime-drama about to start another theatrical run at the Emagine Theater chain Sept. 19th in Novi & Canton Michigan.
