Edvin Ortega is a familiar face to the big screen appearing along side of John Travolta, Denzel Washington, and the cast of the new fit Netflix series Orange is the New Black. In October Ortega will be once again on the big screen playing Richard Cooper in The Jersey Devil.
The Plot: When Lucifer’s term limits come up, a new devil takes over with a vision to re-band Hell; he wants something younger and cool. After an exhausting search, he finds a perfect location for the new hell in Jersey City, New Jersey. As he begins to collect new souls to challenge the Kingdom, Lucifer comes to Jersey to foil his plans and return Hell to its original location.

Ortega was born in Havana, Cuba, where he spent his early childhood years before his family moved to Panama City, Panama. A few years later, his family packed up again and headed for America, settling in Yonkers, NY, where he would spend his formative years and eventually graduate from Westchester Community College and Mercy College. An accomplished host, d.j., singer and dancer, Ortega regularly hosts live events for Radio Disney and is know is those circles as "MC Vin".
The highlights of his big screen career have included appearing in the movie the Taking of Pelham 123. Most recently you catch him on the hit TV show, The Following along side Kevin Bacon and the Netflix acclaimed series Orange is The New Black.
