Haydenfilms Institute announces its Fiscal Sponsorship Program at Film Showcase Event and Panel
featuring local filmmaker Stephen Dijoseph
Haydenfilms Institute is proud to announce its fiscal sponsorship program through a film showcase on Wednesday, May 21 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. With a mission of empowering, educating and funding global independent and student filmmakers, Haydenfilms Institute continues to support local film projects happening in Eastern Pa. "We have been working hard to support global filmmakers for over a decade now,” HFI Founder and Executive Director, Hayden Craddolph says. “We are very excited to share our experiences gained and our tax exempt status with local filmmakers. We believe that if we can put the resources out there, then we can attract film projects to the area and stimulate the local economy while giving some of our students the opportunity to work on these projects."
The film showcase will feature Doylestown, Pa. filmmaker and musician, Stephen Dijoseph, and his multi-award winning short film A SynapTic Adventure: Tourettes and Beyond, a first-person short documentary exploring his personal journey with Tourettes and how living with the syndrome has inspired his creative mind. With hopes of turning the short film into a feature documentary, Stephen will be announcing the launch of his crowdsourcing campaign and fiscal sponsorship with
Haydenfilms Institute.
The event will include a panel discussion featuring Dr. Robert Melillo, one of the most respected specialists in childhood neurological disorders in America alongside Stephen Dijoseph and Henry Nevison, an Emmy-nominated documentarian.
Dr. Robert Melillo explains, “The feedback from our show with Stephen was the one of the best shows yet. I look forward to the screening of A SynapTic Adventure as the message of the film resonates. One of the things we talk about neurologically, is there are often areas of the brain that get out of rhythm and you have these incredible talents.”
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with a reception open to the public until 6:30 p.m. The showcase will follow immediately and the panel will begin at 7:30 p.m. It is free and open to the public in Building One of Tek Park located at located at 9999 Hamilton Boulevard in Brenigsville, Pa., about ten minutes north of Kutztown University.
