Chance's screenplay Something Like a Phenomenon was a semi-finalist at the prestigious horror film festival Shriekfest in 2012 and now in pre-production of the feature film of the script called The Rectory. The film is based on Borley Rectory the most haunted house in England. It’s something close to the director’s heart, as this unusual and fascinating true ghost story took place right near his childhood home and to this day remains a very big part of British haunted history. The director's dream is to bring this story to the big screen with his unique take on it.
Storyline: "With his reputation on the line, discredited paranormal investigator Harry Price enlists candidates for a year-long experiment in the most haunted house in England. When bizarre accounts begin to mount and the house takes on a life of it's own, his reputation may not be the only thing he will lose."
The production has producer Calvin Vanderbeek, on board in addition horror/sci-fi FX makeup veteran Michele Mulkey. As well as two lead actors Jason Vail (Abraham Lincoln Vs Zombies, Gut) as Henry Tennison and Crispian Belfrage (Lions Among Men, The Donner Party) as Harry Price.
The Rectory starts production in the fall shooting in L.A. area.
